This Adventure Will Be Calling Your Name Like the Sirens of Old Used to Call the Sailors

Bergen will be your starting point in this awesome adventure that will take you north, deep into the countryside to explore the side of the country that not too many non locals know about.
Bergen and its surrounding are truly an enchanting place, so be ready fo an incredible adventure.

The first spot you will be visiting today is an astonishing introduction into Norway's at a glance. Orrkleivhaugen is an exceptional viewing point of the Osterfjorden which is the closest fjord to Bergen. There is a car park very near the road and the hike up is very short as to not be tedious with an amazing surprise on top.

Next you will continue to explore more of Norway's natural beauty as you head over to the Fossevatna naturreservat. Here you can enjoy a quiet and relaxing time as you take in the diversity of nature around you. You can observe wildlife teeming here, depending on what season you decide to go. There are many nature trails which do not require much effort, so great for kids or the elderly.
There is too much here to describe with words, so go explore it yourself!

After all that hiking and exploring nature, it is time to grab a delicious bite to eat at the Naboen Kro & Selskapsmat.
This small but definitely great quality eatery is said to have the best burgers in Norway. Wow! This is a big statement, so you better see for yourself!
The food in general is superb, and the staff are lovely.

Now it is time to head over to your first waterfall. Kvernhusfossen is in the village of Mo, and it is a sight to behold. The water thunders down from the Nedstavatn on an altitude of 284 meters, directly into the Mofjorden. This perfect feat of nature is situated very close to the main road, and you can admire it with ease of access.

Here is another magical trail to explore on this awesome road trip. The Blåfjellet is about 850 meters to the top and well worth it since the view is just breathtaking from up there. Also, if you decide not to do the hike, you can also hand out around the base and see the beautifully carved out rock structures around you. It is certain to be a very pleasant experience no matter what.
There is a car park nearby and access points to facilitate entrance to the trail.

As the sun has set, you must be a bit weary from all this exploration it is time to head over to Bistron for a quick bite and some downtime. Here you can enjoy the company of friendly staff and locals and just have a generally good time here and maybe even have a beer if you would like.

After a long and fun filled day, it is time to lay your head down for the night at the Døskeland hotel. This natural sort of lodge is a fantastic place to get away from it all while you sleep very close to nature. They have very friendly staff here who will assist you in everything they can.
