The first private mineral museum in Russia was opened in Slyudyanka on May 2, 1990. Conceived as a tourist complex, the center of which is the Mineral Museum, the ensemble of the estate of Valery Alexeevich was built more than 5 years. Today the museum is visited by every mineral lover who has visited Slyudyanka. The basis of the museum collection is made up of minerals of Slyudyanka, which Valery began to collect in 1975. At the same time, he expressed the idea of creating a museum of minerals in Slyudyanka and began to consistently implement it, bringing to a small then manor full cars of future exhibits.
