The other name of this building is the Church of St. Engracia. You've probably heard the saying "the work of St. Engracia". It appeared as a result of the fact that after the construction of the church in the XVII century, the church was constantly rebuilt, which lasted for a very long time. However, when the church was crowned with a dome, it was ceremonially opened. Many politicians and writers were buried here, and numerous cenotaphs in honor of famous Portuguese navigators were built.
