Beautiful coastal views

We begin our journey at the ancient monastery on the mountain. This monastery has been known since ancient times; it was founded in the 13th century.
The stone temple is decorated with frescoes in the Byzantine style and carvings. Over the long years of existence, it has been repeatedly subjected to plundering and fires. Since 1986, it has been home to a women's monastery. The sisters have put it in order and have been preserving it for decades.
It's a pleasure to be there, and what views can be seen from the mountain! What a sight to behold!

30 kilometers from the monastery there is a restaurant of Greek cuisine. That's where we'll have lunch in the shade of the plane-trees. A real oasis in the heat. The pies here are excellent. But the rest of the menu is also good. And for dessert - ripe watermelon!

Very close to the café is the monastery of St. Potapius. The stone vaults create and keep cool, what a grace! The air is clean: the pine trees around and the sea breeze favor easy breathing. From the observation deck, where the bell tower, a fantastic view! The monastery is small and cozy. Here you can buy souvenirs.

We drive further along the coast and stop at the excavation site. Here are the archaeological excavations of a fourth century settlement. Wonderful view opens from this cape to the sea in all directions! We will definitely go down and have a swim.
Let's shake off, so to say, the dust of centuries. We even wash it off. In addition to having a good swim here, you can take a dive. Pleasure and exploration. What if you come across an ancient amphora underwater! Or shine old coins? It depends on your luck. But even if you come ashore without historical finds, the swimming will give you great pleasure! Climbing back up the mountain will pump your muscles, and lo and behold, you're awake, cheerful, and ready to continue your journey.

Let's go to the lighthouse! No matter where I am, I can't get past the lighthouse. I'll be sure to stop by. How beautiful the lighthouse is here! It stands on the rocks and has been signaling passing ships since the late 19th century. At first it worked on liquid fuel, but since the seventies of the twentieth century it was electric. No matter what you say, but still lighthouse is a connecting link in time... It was beacon in the old days, as well as now. And what rocks beneath it... Incredible view opens from the lighthouse! Especially beautiful at sunset.
