Though it’s a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts, the Buskerud region, which includes the Norefjell mountain range, turns into a nature lover’s paradise in the warmer months. Situated just 90 minutes outside of Oslo, Norefjell and its surrounding valleys and lakes have activities for the whole family. Get your culture hats on for day 1 of the route where you'll enter a spiral tunnel towards some spectacular views before visiting a coal mining museum. You'll end the day by cooling off with a swim in the lake whilst breathing in that fresh mountain air. After an overnight stay at the family-friendly Norefjell Ski & Spa hotel, you'll venture into a land of fantasy with a trip to a wildlife park and the Villa Fridheim fairytale museum. Before heading back to Oslo, you'll catch some air with a thrilling zip line ride over the world’s largest ski jump.
