Traveler
- Wander through the Leningrad Sahara.
- Find shell fish skeletons in the stone.
- Descend into red caves.
- Walk along the bottom of a beautiful canyon.
- Feed an ostrich.
- Master sup-surfing on a picturesque lake.
Most St. Petersburg residents prefer to enjoy the beauty of nature in Karelia, on the shores of the Gulf of Finland or Lake Ladoga. But interesting places for outdoor activities can be found not only to the north of the city. During this short trip you will see that the south of the Leningrad region is also rich in natural sights.
I suggest that you head towards Luga, a small town two hours drive from St. Petersburg. What you will see on the way: the real canyons, and skeletons of extinct fish and sand dunes. I guarantee that you will be pleasantly surprised.
