At first glance, it's hard to believe this fabulous place is a beach. It is located at the end of a narrow bay behind the western side of the Cascais marina. The locals do not swim here, there are no umbrellas or sun loungers. But it is necessary to come here, because this place combines indescribable landscapes, architectural monuments, as well as cognitive component, because there are two museums here.

This museum, located on the beach of St. Martha, is close to the active lighthouse (Farol de Santa Marta) and is dedicated to the history and work of the Portuguese lighthouses. You can learn everything from the beginnings of lighthouse business to the present, and then go out and see the active St. Martha lighthouse.

The second museum worth visiting is the Palácio do Conde de Castro Guimarães. It tells the story of Count Castro, and exhibits his rich collections. The ivory mansion, reinforced by powerful buttresses and crowned with a stone tower, attracts lovers of history, architecture, fabulous views and romantic pastimes. Families often come here to relax, take a walk in the park, visit a local café or send their children to a specially equipped playground.

Lunch right at the Cascais marina. Each dish on the restaurant's menu deserves special attention, but the most popular ones are fish dishes and desserts. There is no doubt that you will enjoy not only the cuisine, but also the atmosphere created by the staff and views of the marina. Please note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays.

Not far from Cascaisha harbour is the small church of Nossa Senhora da Assuncao. Its history, like many other churches in Portugal, begins with the story of a smaller chapel in its place and then being enlarged after being damaged by a major earthquake in 1755. This church is no exception.
The snow-white and relatively simple walls of the church hide the more luxurious interior of the building. The architecture of the church retains the features of the building, mentioned in the XVI century. It also has elements of more modern styles. The interior is notable for its richness, including tile decoration and gilding of the four side altars in the national style.

For dinner, head to a Mediterranean restaurant specialising in seafood: you will find not only the popular Persebacheral Sea Ducks on the menu, but also regular, more common seafood cooked in various combinations and under a variety of sauces. The portions are quite generous, in addition to the usual dishes here also offer degustation sets, where you can taste several kinds of seafood cooked according to different recipes. Such sets are also accompanied by high quality wine. To ensure that you do not wait in line, book a table in advance. The restaurant is open every day from 12.30 to 23.30, except Monday.

Before returning to the hotel, enjoy an evening relaxing stroll to the Cascais dock, where you can see the pleasantly splashing ocean water, romantic white yachts and pleasant evening lights of the city.
