Over 150 wooden houses can be found in Laerdal's Old Town, dating back to the 1700s and 1800s. Wander through the streets and feel like you've been transported back in time. You can pop into the cafés and souvenir shop by the town square if you have time.

The Sigdal and Eggedal valleys are known for being home to many of Norway's most famous artists. Hagan was home to painter Christian Skredsvig, who made a name of himself not just in his home country but with the artistic crowd of Paris as well. His old home has been turned into a museum where visitors can do a tour of the house's rooms and a gallery featuring some of Skredsvig's works.
