FIRST STOP: SAN DONACI AND PAOLOLEO WINERY.

As soon as we landed at the airport of Brindisi, we recover what belongs to us: luggage and personal belongings and we are ready to leave for this unique journey to discover a part of Puglia.

The main character of this stage: PAOLOLEO WINERY.
Here, we're gonna have lunch with tasting and 3 wines combined with local delicacies,
-10 courses of typical Apulian products, such as cold cuts and cheeses, grilled vegetables, marinated anchovies, orecchiette alla crudaiola with cacioricotta, meatballs with sauce, pignata meat, pittule and frittini, fava beans and chicory, homemade bread, -1 passito wine or grappa paired with a typical Salento dessert and coffee.

Now we are ready to visit the city of San Donaci, We will start from the church of "Santa Maria delle Grazie" in which there is a fresco image of a Madonna and a Child (Madonna delle Grazie) of the fifteenth century.

The ancient temple of San Miserino is located in the countryside of Brindisi, outside the town of San Donaci and is considered one of the oldest places of Christian worship in Salento. The small temple of San Miserino has always been an important element for the local peasant community, which in its shade rested after the long agricultural activities carried out in the surrounding fields and vineyards.

Built in 1899 on a previous church, it shows on the square the elegant and sober facade, with the high bell tower visible from all sides. Inside we can admire the stone altar dedicated to "Addolorata".
