    Rocca di Pietracassia

The history of Rocca Pietracasia reach back in time to Etruscan time, when these fortifications were used in order to control copper trading from the local Montecatini mines. The name itself came as historian say, from Cassio, Roman trumvir. Today it remains as a part of Volterra possession, and it's a great historic mark on the Tuscany land. Take a walk around the ruins and feel the old times still evident in the air.
