Fjords for Days through the Western Norwegian Landscape

Visit the town church, which was constructed in 1277. Legend has it, a heathen temple used to stand on the land the church is now built on. This stone church seats over 450 people and visitors are allowed inside for a little peek.

Stop for a quick bite to take with you on the road. Serving up simple, traditional food, you can ask for a matpakke (packed lunch of mostly sandwiches with liver paté or prawns with mayo) and munch on the road.

It's no surprise you've got water brands named after Voss - just look at their crystal rivers! Though it'll be hard to stop taking photos from your car, you can park on the roadside and take a quick dip to freshen you up for the rest of the drive.

The Stegastein viewpoint is one of the most famous in the area because of the stunning panoramic views you get of the Aurlandsfjord. Take in the breathtaking scenery, and don't forget to take out your camera - you're in one of the most popular photo spots in the region!

The crossing takes only about 20 minutes and once you're on the other side of the fjord, you'll take a little detour past a beach on your way to dinner.

This little cabin over the water promises fresh, delicious dishes from fjord to fjell (mountain). The restaurant has an ethos that good mat shouldn't travel from far, which is why they try their best to only feature local ingredients in their dishes. Menu items include venison stew, creamy crayfish soup, and a smoked salmon platter.
