Parks, Playgrounds, Windmills and Chocolate
The day's route starts with a visit to the miniature park, where you can learn and experience how many of the Dutch icons and traditions work. Are you up for generating energy and weighing a cheese?

In the afternoon, it is suggested to go to Antwerp to visit the interactive chocolate museum or to take a walk in the historic centre of the city. Either way, don't forget to buy the famous Belgian chocolate!
Finally, you can have dinner in a place in front of a park with a playground and arrive in Brussels ready to sleep.
To be on time for the first stop of the day, start driving a little before 9:00.

Madurodam
The first stop is Maduridam Park, one of the most beautiful parks in Holland, ideal for family fun.
There, you can see all the icons of Holland in miniature, but you can also experience a lot more.
There you can see all the icons of the Netherlands in miniature, but you can also experience much more. You will be able to generate energy, turn water into land, weigh Dutch cheeses, play with water, learn how to handle ships in a harbour and even have your own miniature 3D figure. This and much more to play and learn with the family!
If you want to stay longer in the park, you can have lunch there and skip the stop in Rotterdam for lunch.

Unesco Werelderfgoed Kinderdijk
After lunch, you can visit the Kinderdijk windmills, which have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will see 19 windmills that were built in the mid-18th century to prevent flooding in the area.
You can visit two windmills inside, take a half-hour boat trip to appreciate the landscape and visit the museum where you can learn how the Dutch polders work. Children will have a great time!
Note You can be here for an hour or two (maybe more), so be aware of the timetable if you want to get to the Chocolate Museum in Antwerp in good time. If you find it's getting late, you can stay longer among the mills and arrive later in Antwerp for a stroll through the city centre and a bite to eat there.

You can park your car in this car park, just a few metres from the museum.

Chocolate Nation
The next suggestion, already in Belgium, is to visit the interactive chocolate museum in Antwerp. It is a fun and tasty visit. The museum closes at 18:30, but the last tour leaves at 17:00.
The ticket includes an audio guide and a chocolate tasting. At the end of the tour, the kids are sure to want to buy more chocolate!
If you arrive late, you can still go to the museum to buy the famous Belgian chocolate!
After the museum, you can pick up the car and drive to the next site for an early dinner.
