Closer to Lake Chosenji!
On the way to the famous Lake Chusengji you will visit the observation deck, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery from afar. The next stop is the Italian embassy and the park - a real dive into the era of the time. On the way we admire another beautiful Buddhist temple, have a delicious lunch in the restaurant Maple, and at the end we walk along the spacious paths of the nature reserve.
The route runs along Lake Chuzenji, so you can admire it from anywhere!

中禅寺湖展望台
This observation deck will open a stunning view of the famous Lake Chusenji - the Japanese give it the name "Sea of Happiness". The lake is the highest in Japan. It is located at an altitude of 1269 meters, and appeared because of the eruptions of the extinct volcano Nantaysan.
The shores of the lake are extremely attractive especially in spring, when pinkish fog appears above the mountains around the lake.
There is a boat on the lake, which transports tourists from one bank to another for 500 yen. Swimming time is 20-30 minutes.
